Rock Band!
Today was amazing! We went to Mass this morning and our priest's homily was wonderful. He talked about the supposed fourth magi who spent his whole life trying to find the King (Jesus) and always being just a little bit late but that Jesus was already in his heart since he was seeking him. It was a really good homily. :) After Mass we picked up a couple things at Walmart and then went to the library to straighten out an account issue and check out a couple more books. I checked out The Complete Tightwad Gazette and Suze Orman's Women & Money book. I'm hoping they're both good! :)
I got all our coupons cut out and DH got them filed/sorted today. I made the Banana Nut Bread, homemade chicken noodle soup and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip muffins that I talked about in the last post and they were all very good. I have the soup divided into smaller containers to take for lunch this week. Yum! :) I also made the Ranch Potato Wedges I talked about in the last post and they were delish and DH made steaks. We had my sister and three other friends over for dinner which was awesome. I love having people come over to our house. :) They all played Super Mario Brothers for the Wii while I finished cooking and then we all played Rock Band after we finished eating. I had no idea Rock Band could be so fun! :) We played for at least two hours, probably closer to three. So amazing! :)
We didn't get to play in the snow like we had planned today so we're hoping to accomplish that tomorrow. :) I'm also planning on cleaning/organizing the last bookshelf and the area in front of the bookshelf, as well as sorting through all our mail. I'm going to make Ham & Beans tomorrow too and possibly some cookies to freeze. Other than that we are planning on relaxing and playing in the snow. It's back to work on Tuesday, blah. This was definitely an amazing three day weekend. :) I can't wait until my next one in two weeks, lol. Next weekend DH has drill and I work so we will hardly see each other at all and DH starts school a week from tomorrow so we will hardly see each other until the semester is over (he goes to school during the day and I work evenings, bleck). I'm glad we had these amazing couple days off together. :)
I'm off to the couch now to watch some DVR and get shows off there. Happy Lazy Sunday everyone! :)

New Year's Cleaning
I never got around to getting all my Spring Cleaning finished so I figured I'd do a New Year's Cleaning. :) DH and I cleaned like crazy today. We got all the new presents from Christmas put away, the dishes washed and put away, our expired coupons all purged, counters bleach wiped, two bookshelves organized/cleaned/sorted through, the computer desk mostly cleaned and laundry done. It only took us four hours! :) Tomorrow I have big plans to finish sorting through my other bookshelf and DH sort through his, all our new coupons to be clipped and filed, mail sorted through and some cooking. I'm hoping to make some homemade chicken noodle soup, banana nut bread, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and possibly some cookies baked. We are also going to make steaks and ranch potato wedges for dinner. I'm going to soak some pinto beans overnight and make Ham & Beans for Monday night. This way I should have plenty of food to take to work next week and DH should have plenty of food to eat while I'm at work. I'm not sure this will all get accomplished though because IT'S SNOWING right now!
We are definitely going to have to play in the snow tomorrow so I'm sure that will affect all I have planned to get accomplished! :) We have Mass tomorrow morning and I have to return some library books and pick up some more, as well. Busy, busy "lazy" Sunday. ;) I will post some pics to my blog above this post showing the clean areas in pics taken on my phone. I'm not sure how to send pics from my phone to blogger without posting them separately so this will have to work for now. :) I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! :)
